It is recommended to have a rewire every 25-30 years as the condition of cables start to deteriorate due to wear & tear which can vary. Old and faulty wiring can cause entire electrical system to trip frequently or blow fuses  or at worst cause a house fire/electric shock.

It is also recommended to have a EICR ( condition report) carried out by a qualified electrician to determine if the property needs a rewire within a specific budget. Rewiring can also be a opportunity to not only meet safety standards but for modern satisfaction- adding more switches & sockets for appliances to increasing the value for your property when selling to potential buyers.

  • You are having some electrical work carried out which needs to comply with the regulations.
  • Your old fuse board is overloaded and starting to cause nuisance  for the remainder of the installation.
  • Your wiring installation is in poor condition but you cannot afford a rewire, upgrading to current edition Consumer Unit will offer some protection.

It is vital to have the job carried out by experienced/qualified electricians who is registered & holds relevant certifications, insurances for your safety and your property’s well-being.
